According to the latest policy, the state has provided special subsidies for the renewal and renovation of old residential elevators, as follows:
1. Subsidy recipients
The subsidy is mainly for old residential elevators with a service life of more than 15 years, especially for elevators with a service life of more than 20 years.
It must be a complete replacement, and partial renovation is not eligible for subsidies.
2. Subsidy amount
Each updated elevator can receive a fixed subsidy of 150,000 yuan.
For renovated elevators, each unit is subsidized with 50,000 yuan.
3. Application conditions
The elevator must have been registered and used before January 1, 2010.
The cost of a single unit renewal must exceed 150,000 yuan.
The owner must reach a consensus on the replacement of the elevator and complete the relevant fund splicing.
4. Applicant
The applicant can be a property service company, an elevator maintenance company or an elevator manufacturer, and must obtain authorization from more than half of the owners.
5. Application process
Submit project reserve materials, including funding application form, copy of elevator registration certificate, new elevator renovation plan, owner consent, etc.
Submit project filing application through local housing and urban-rural construction department or development and reform department.
6. Policy background
This policy was officially included in the national ultra-long-term special treasury bond support scope in August 2024, aiming to improve the safety performance of residential elevators and improve the living environment of residents.
7. Implementation progress
At present, some communities have successfully applied for subsidies and started elevator renewal projects, such as Huajing Garden in Zhuhai.
